Favorite Memory of the Wesley:

My favorite thing about the Wesley is the people. There are the students that are joyous to be here on Wednesday. I can be anywhere in town and someone will recognize me form our lunches or table talk and want to talk to me about our programs and the happiness we bring to the community trough our service. I feel like we are making a true difference in the hard lives of these students who need God’s love in this crazy stressful world. This is not just a place you come to eat and do homework, it is the home we need when we are alone and disconnected from our families.”

How has the Wesley impacted your life?

Although we come from diverse backgrounds with vastly different experience we have become a very strong family with the dreams of changing the world one person at a time.”

How has the Wesley impacted your faith?

Before coming to the Wesley I was deeply disconnected from faith or believing there was actually something beyond the here and now. Hearing the stories of my peers and speaking with our Pastor Shana I realized that there is more to life and it is tangible through showing others love and sewing the seeds of happiness. Through our interactions, whether it is through small groups, table talks, or worship services, I have grown and nurtured my faith to be a stronger and faithful believer.”

Do you have any wisdom to share with students?

There are good and bad in all things. Negativity breeds negativity. you must find the joy in the little things or surely have a miserable existence. By spreading love and joy we can create a better much brighter world.”
